Brussels, 07/10/2011 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 7 October, the European Commission authorised the proposed acquisition by Microsoft Corporation of the internet voice and video communication provider Skype. The deal would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it, concludes the Commission.
