19/09/2011 (Agence Europe) -“Orange Bike Days” - As part of European Mobility Week on the theme Alternative Mobility, Siim Kallas, Commissioner for Transport, set a good example in Brussels on Monday 19 September, by hopping on a bike to take part in the first Orange Bike Day. He urged European citizens to see the bicycle as an alternative to their car. “Brussels is the most congested city, Warsaw is second. So, we really must look for other ways of getting around and use other options. And of course, the bicycle is one of the nicest ways of getting around.” The event was organised by the Dutch embassy and will be repeated in a number of towns in Belgium and Luxembourg.
