Brussels, 19/09/2011 (Agence Europe) - Following a meeting with Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Božidar Ðjelic on Monday 19 September, European Enlargement Commissioner Štefan Füle acknowledged the “important” results achieved in reforms in Serbia, including the adoption of key points in legislation incorporating European standards the main political and judicial areas. Füle highlighted the “improvement in bilateral relations” between Serbia and its neighbours. He hoped that discussions with Kosovo were progressing. “Recognition of Kosovo is not a formal condition of the European integration process, but what matters is to achieve the normalisation of Serbia's relations with Kosovo over time”, he said.
