The Liaison Group with the organisations and networks of European civil society (European Parliament/European Economic and Social Committee) opened civilian relations with the Tunisian society during its 20th meeting at the end of June. The debate with Ahmed Galai, the president of the Tunisian League for Human Rights, and Abdelaziz Idamine of the youth movement of 20 February in Morocco, was on organised civil society in the democratic transition process in southern Mediterranean countries and, in this context, the processes of cooperation between civil societies on both sides of the Mediterranean.
