08/07/2011 (Agence Europe) - EPR site/Greens/EFA-CGT. On Wednesday 6 July, in Strasbourg, a delegation of the trade union CGT (Confédération générale des travailleurs, France) was received by Karima Delli and Michèle Rivasi, MEPs, and by Senator Marie-Christine Blandin. The trade unionists quizzed MEPs, who show full solidarity with them, regarding the situation of European temporary workers, and in particular Polish temporary workers on the EPR (European Pressurized Reactor) site in Flamanville. They also raised questions relating to non-compliance with French labour law and social law, and to European directives for the posting of workers, temporary work and health and safety at work. One message was expressed - it is urgent to combat social dumping. See EUROPE 10413. (G.B./transl.jl)
