05/07/2011 (Agence Europe) - EIB finances Line 3 of Montpellier tramway. The €250 million granted by the European Investment Bank (EIB) to Montpellier Agglomération for Line 3 of the tramway mainly concerns a project to the benefit of all Montpellier's inhabitants and many visitors. EIB funding will be for the renovation of 4 stations and the construction of 26 stations, and for the acquisition of 22 trains, each carrying 300 passengers. (L.C./transl.jl)
