05/07/2011 (Agence Europe) - Shortlist of films for 2011 LUX Prize. The European Parliament unveiled the 10 films shortlisted for this year's LUX Prize at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic. These films, (co-)produced in 15 European countries have been chosen to reflect the richness and excellence of European cinema. The 10 are: A Torinói ló by Béla Tarr (Hungary, France, Switzerland and Germany), Attenberg by Athina Rachel Tsangari (Greece), Essential Killing by Jerzy Skolimowski (Poland, Norway, Ireland and Hungary), Habemus papam by Nanni Moretti (Italy and France), Le Havre by Aki Kaurismäki (Finland, France and Germany), Les Neiges de Kilimandjaro by Robert Guédiguian (France), Morgen by Marian Crisan (France, Romania and Hungary), Mistérios de Lisboa by Raúl Ruiz (Portugal), Pina by Wim Wenders (Germany, France and UK), and Play by Ruben, Östlund (Sweden, France and Denmark).
