05/07/2011 (Agence Europe) - Mergers: ERG Renew-OOO Lukoil-Ecoenergo/JV CO. On Tuesday 5 July, the European Commission gave its approval for the acquisition of joint control by share purchase of the new company JV CO by the Italian company ERG Renew (ERG Group) and the Russian company OOO Lukoil-Ecoenergo (Lukoil Group). JV CO will produce electricity from renewable energy sources and supply the wholesale electricity markets of Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Russia. ERG Renew is also active in the production and wholesale supply of green electricity, particularly electricity produced by wind energy, and Lukoil-Energo is active across the renewable energy sector.
