Brussels, 28/06/2011 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 28 June the European Commission gave its approval for three regimes of aid to financial institutions, which have already been extended one or more times, to be extended. These are: - the Danish winding-up scheme for credit institutions, which was authorised on 30 September 2010 (EUROPE 10226) and extended on 7 December 2010; - the Polish support scheme for financial institutions, which was authorised on 25 September 2009 (EUROPE 9985) and extended on 9 February 2010, 29 June 2010 and 16 December 2010; - the Polish bank recapitalisation scheme, authorised on 21 December 2009 (EUROPE 10045) and extended on 5 July 2010 and 16 December 2010. In each of these three cases, the Commission took the view that the extension complied with its guidelines on state aid during the financial crisis and that the regimes in question constituted an appropriate means of remedying a serious disturbance of the economies of the member states concerned.
