30/05/2011 (Agence Europe) - Bulgaria hopes to speed Euro-Atlantic integration of Western Balkan countries. Stating the priorities of Bulgarian foreign policy before the parliamentary assembly of NATO on Saturday 28 May, the Foreign Minister of Bulgaria stressed the need to accelerate the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkan states. Bosnia-Herzegovian is the “key country”, said the minister, referring to the prospect of the country's participation in the NATO action plan for accession (MAP). “We need to have a government in place. That remains the most important work. And second key task is to reach agreement on the property of the former Yugoslav People's Army, on how it is distributed and how it is managed at the level of BiH”, he said, adding: “All of that has to be put on hold because of the need to have new government. Once they have it”, the Bosnian leaders will “probably focus on that because the defence cooperation between the federation and the Srbska Republic has been quite good. (A. By/transl.fl).
