30/05/2011 (Agence Europe) - Dess report favours keeping planting rights in wine sector post 2015. In its adoption of the Dess report on the reform of the common agriculture policy (CAP), the committee on agriculture of the European Parliament calls on the European Commission to take account of the possibility of keeping in place planting rights in the wine sector post-2015. The Commission is called upon to take account of this in the report (which the Commission is to adopt in 2012) on the reform of the wine sector. Readers may recall that ten countries, among them France, Germany and Spain, are calling for the planting rights system, due to be phased out from 2015, to be kept in place. (L.C./transl.fl)
