While Egypt has just announced the reopening of its border with the Gaza Strip at the Rafah border crossing point as of Saturday 28 May, the EU has decided (by written procedure) to extend its European Union Border Assistance Mission (EUBAM) deployed in Rafah until 31 December this year.
