19/01/2011 (Agence Europe) - Hungarian media law worries Marine Le Pen too. Speaking to press on the sidelines of the plenary session in Strasbourg on Wednesday 19 January, French non-attached MEP Marine Le Pen, who has just be elected leader of the extreme right-wing Front National said she “shares the concern expressed in Europe” over the Hungarian media law. “The culture in France is one of freedom of thought, freedom of opinion, and, consequently, even though it can sometimes be uncomfortable because it is not helpful to us, freedom of the press,” she said, acknowledging, however, that the Jobbik movement, which made a historic breakthrough in the Hungarian parliament with 47 MPs, following a campaign based on anti-Semitism, condemnation of gypsies and opposition to the EU was the closest to her own party.
