Brussels, 07/12/2010 (Agence Europe) - More than 10 million people are now using the “Europass” online curriculum vitae to help them find a job, not only in another member state but also in their own countries, according to latest figures compiled by the European Commission. Europass, the first step towards developing the new “European Skills Passport”, which will allow citizens to better record skills acquired and experiences, has been well received by business and recruitment agencies as it facilitates recruitment processes and improves worker mobility. The Europass, launched by the Commission and the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) in 2005, was initially aimed at young people looking for work abroad. These are still its main customers. (I.L./transl.rt)
