03/12/2010 (Agence Europe) - Acquisition of Wittur by Triton is cleared. On Thursday 2 December, the European Commission authorised the proposed acquisition by the Wittur Group, a German producer of elevator components, by Triton, a private equity investment firm which provides management advice and investment services to European-based companies. Such companies include Dunkermotoen, which makes electric motors for elevator car door applications, and which is a supplier of Wittur, among others. The Commission investigation showed that the transaction, notified on 26 October, would not restrict competition on this market or on that of elevator cabin doors. (F.G./transl.jl)
