Brussels, 12/11/2010 (Agence Europe) - Combating discrimination and promoting equality in the working world will be core issues under discussion at the “4th Equality Summit - equality and diversity in employment”, to beheld in Brussels on Monday 15 November.
Organised by the Belgian Presidency of the EU Council of Ministers, the summit will take stock of policies implemented to promote non-discrimination and diversity in employment. To achieve this, it will examine what tools and practices have proven the most effective and will identify avenues for future action. It will also look at the role of the social partners and public employers.
Discussion will be structured around plenary sessions and workshops, three of which will focus on inter-activity. This summit will bring together 500 top level representatives from EU member states, candidate states, EFTA countries, social partners, European NGOs and international organisations.
