Catherine Ashton sets off for region

Brussels, 29/09/2010 (Agence Europe) - Catherine Ashton is setting off this Thursday 30 September to Israel and the Palestinian territories. The three-day visit, during which the high representative will meet Benjamin Netanyahou, Mahmoud Abbas and George Mitchell, aims to bolster EU support for direct talks to continue between Israel and Palestine after the Israeli decision not to extend the moratorium on settlements.
