Aid of €35.6 million to help France tackle consequences of Storm Xynthia

Brussels, 29/09/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 29 September, the European Commission proposed €35.6 million from the European Union Solidarity Fund to help France. This decision still needs to be adopted by the Council of Ministers of the EU and the European Parliament. The money will be used to help the French authorities tackle the damages caused by Storm Xynthia, which struck last February.
