Brussels, 23/09/2010 (Agence Europe) - To increase protection of human health and the environment, the European Parliament approved (by 550 votes to 22, with 82 abstentions) the proposal for revision of the rules governing the authorisation to market and use biocides in the EU, while simplifying the authorisation procedure for companies wishing to market these products which combat parasites and bacteria.
