23/09/2010 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has designated nine MEPs to represent the EP in the joint parliamentary committee with Iceland, which is to hold its constituent meeting on 4/5 October in Reykjavik. The joint parliamentary committee's main task will be to monitor Iceland's EU membership talks which began end July. The European delegation will be chaired by Pat the Cope Gallagher (ALDE, Ireland).
