24/08/2010 (Agence Europe) - On 9 August, the European Commission authorised an aid regime to grant compensation for damages caused by the floods in Poland in May and June 2010. The Commission noted that the measure was in line with the relevant articles of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union authorising aid designed to remedy damage caused by natural disasters.
