Still supporting binding comprehensive agreement, EU is to negotiate in Bonn in hope of reaching tangible results (2-8 August)

Brussels, 30/07/2010 (Agence Europe) - The European Union will be taking part in international climate talks resuming on Monday in Bonn (2-6 August) in the context of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Kyoto Protocol, in order to prepare for the Cancún conference in December (COP 16, Mexico, 29 November-11 December).

For the first time, talks will unfold under the aegis of Christiana Figueres, UNFCCC Executive Secretary who took over from Yvo De Boer...
