EU and euro area annual inflation rate down in June

Brussels, 14/07/2010 (Agence Europe) - According to figures published by Eurostat on Wednesday 14 July, annual inflation in the euro area was 1.4% in June 2010, down from 1.6% in May. A year earlier the rate was -0.1%. Monthly inflation was 0.0% in June 2010. EU annual inflation was 1.9% in June 2010, down from 2.0% in May. A year earlier the rate was 0.6%.
