Gazprom re-establishes gas supplies to Belarus

Brussels, 24/06/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 24 June, Gazprom re-established gas supplies to Belarus, which had announced on Wednesday that it had settled all of its debts to the Russian gas supplier.

Minsk and Moscow also confirmed on Thursday that Gazprom had paid some of the amount Belarus had been claiming from the Russian gas supplier for transiting supplies to the EU. As we go to press, Belarus has still not precisely explained whether it intended to withdraw its threat to limit...
