European Parliament supports new internet technology but urges cautious approach to web governance

Brussels, 16/06/2010 (Agence Europe) - By 606 votes to 18 and 17 abstentions, MEPs voted through the report by Maria Badia i Cutchet (S&D, Spain) on the new “internet of things” or “internet of objects” as it is variously known. The EP backs the development of the new technology combining electronic identifying devices with internet addresses.
