16/06/2010 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption in Strasbourg on Wednesday 16 June of the report by László Surján (EPP, Hungary) on draft budget N° 4/2010, the European Parliament approved the budgetisation of the 2009 budget surplus, which amounts to €2.5 billion (see details in EUROPE 10158 on the Council agreement). Budgetisation of the 2009 surplus will mean that member states' contributions to the 2010 budget will be reduced by the same amount. (L.C./transl.rt)
