26/05/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 24 May, representatives from the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the International Union of Railways (UIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for enhancing the integration and development of passenger and goods rail transport. This was signed in a backdrop to the 18th OSCE environmental and economic forum and focuses on cooperation in the area of information exchange and expertise, the joint organisation of events, technical cooperation and rail safety, security and access.
