Florence, 21/05/2010 (Agence Europe) - The biennial meeting of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) opened on Thursday 20 May in Florence (Italy). While 2010 is the European year for combating poverty and social exclusion, and education and social inclusion are two objectives of the Europe 2020 strategy, the biennial conference places emphasis on “education to combat social exclusion”.
