Andris Piebalgs in Istanbul for conference on stability in Somalia, then in Indonesia to sign €200 million agreement for education

Brussels, 21/05/2010 (Agence Europe) - Andris Piebalgs, European Development Commissioner, is stepping up the number of his missions in developing countries. On Saturday 22 May, he will attend the high level session of the political security and reconstruction conference for Somalia, jointly convened by the United Nations and the governments of Somalia and Turkey.

After the first meeting, Piebalgs will go to Indonesia (Yogyakarta, 24-26 May) to open the ASEM (Asia-Europe Conference)...
