State aid (C121)

Information provided by the Member States about state aid granted under Commission Regulation 1857/2006/EC on application of Articles 87 and 88 of the Treaty to state aid for small and medium-sized enterprises manufacturing agricultural products, amending Regulation 70/2001/EC: 1) state aid of €115.000 in Cyprus (compensation for dairy farmers for lost income due to transmissible spongiform encephalopathy); 2) state aid of €7 million in the Netherlands (compensation for goat farmers for lost income due to Q fever); 3) state aid of €1 million for farmers in Sardinia for storm damage caused on 24 September 2009; 4) state aid in Ireland to encourage farmers to join quality assurance programmes; and 5) state aid of €1.1 million in Germany (vaccination costs for serotype 8 of blue tongue disease in cattle, sheep and goats)

Publication of an application pursuant to Article 6 (2) of Council Regulation 510/2006/EC on the protection of geographical indications and appellations of origin for farm and food products: PGI (protected geographical indication) “Melón de La Mancha” (Spanish melon to be eaten as fresh fruit).
