Brussels, 04/04/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 4 May 2010, European Ombudsman Nikiforos Diamandouros presented his annual report 2009 to the Parliamentary petitions committee. In reply to MEPs, he returned to the subject of the future citizen's initiative. According to the Ombudsman, “the citizens initiative is a new form of participation in power. It will contribute to citizens' participation”.
