Prospect of agreement between 27 member states on creation of European diplomatic service by end of month

Brussels, 15/04/2010 (Agence Europe) - Coreper discussions on the proposal by Catherine Ashton relating to the creation of a European External Action Service (EEAS) are progressing well so that member states should be able to adopt a common position on the text by 22 April, said sources familiar with the issue after the Coreper meeting on Wednesday 14 April. The General Affairs Council may then formally adopt its decision in Luxembourg on 26 April. The 27 EU member states are said to be...
