Brussels, 31/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - Talks between the presidents of the Republic of Cyprus, Demetris Christofias, and the Turkish Cypriot community, Mehmet Ali Talat, with a view to reunification of the island, were suspended on 30 March to allow Talat to begin the campaign for the “presidential” elections on 18 April in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC, only recognised by Turkey).
