31/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - On 29 March, the European Commission asked the Council to authorise it to open negotiations on the renewal of the protocol to the fisheries partnership agreement between the EU and the Federated States of Micronesia. The current protocol, which came into effect on 26 February 2007, expired on 25 February 2010.
