29/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 29 March, the European Commission approved the proposed merger by which Euroports Holdings S.à r.l of Luxembourg, Manuport Group NV of Belgium, both belonging to the Euroports group, and DP World NV of Belgium will acquire joint control of Trilogiport Container Terminal SA of Belgium by way of purchase of shares in a newly created company constituting a joint venture. Euroports specialises in port operation, cargo handling and related services and facilities across Europe. Manuport as a dry bulk port operator and provides freight forwarding and logistical services in Benelux and France. DP World is a worldwide marine terminal operator, providing inter alia stevedoring services in the port of Antwerp. Trilogiport will operate an inland intermodal (barge, road and rail) container facility at the port of Liège. (O.L./transl.rt)
