Commission welcomes Swiss readiness to withdraw black list of Libyan officials

Brussels, 25/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 25 March, the European Commission welcomed the announcement by Switzerland that, to bring as swift an end as possible to the diplomatic dispute between it and Libya which is affecting all the countries of the Schengen area, it was willing to lift the restrictions on Schengen visas that have been imposed on a number of Libyan leaders since autumn 2009. “The Commission welcomes this announcement” which seeks to bring a rapid end to the...
