Spain in breach of EU law on animal transport

Brussels, 19/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 18 March, the European Commission sent a reasoned opinion (second stage in infringement procedure) to Spain for failure to properly enforce Regulation 1/2005/EC on the protection of animals during transport, and Regulation 882/2004 on official controls.
