Brussels, 11/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 11 March, as Kristalina Georgieva, European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid, was preparing to meet the new president, Sebastian Piñera, on the occasion of his inauguration in Valparaiso, the European Commission was taking stock at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on the situation in this country devastated by the very powerful earthquake on 27 February, followed by numerous aftershocks and a tsunami....
