26/02/2010 (Agence Europe) - European Health Commissioner John Dalli said at the Agriculture Council on 22 February that the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control would, this spring, issue scientific opinions on Q-fever, which for several years has been affecting goat herds in the south of the Netherlands. There is currently no legislation to combat this infectious animal disease, which can be passed to humans.
