Italy, having seen its requests for temporary derogation to "Air Quality" directive turned down in 11 cases, obtains grace period in one case

Brussels, 01/02/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 1 February, the European Commission, which had received a request for temporary derogations to European legislation on the quality of ambient air for 12 areas and cities in Campania, Puglia and Sicily, announced that it had turned down Italy's request in 11 cases.
