Brussels, 20/01/2010 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has re-elected Nikiforos Diamandouros as European Ombudsman for a further five-year term of office. Diamandouros received 380 out a total of 684 votes cast. Belgian Pierre-Yves Monette came second with 289 votes, while Italian Vittorio Bottoli received only 19 votes.
