Loan to Philips in favour of medical research-development

Brussels, 09/12/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) and Royal Philips Electronics have just signed a contract for a loan of 200 million euros. This loan, granted over 10 years under the Risk-Sharing Finance Facility (RSFF), will be used to pay for research and development (R&D) in Europe and covering a range of innovative products in the area of medicine, particularly for image-guided surgery and health care at home.
