04/12/2009 (Agence Europe) - In a press release issued on Friday 4 December, the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) reported a risk of fever in young children causing temperatures above 38°C as a result of this second Pandemrix swine flu A(H1N1)v vaccination. This fever, which was confirmed in a clinical trial carried out into vaccinations of children aged between six months and three years, could easily be brought under control using a conventional antipyretic such as paracetamol, according to the EMEA, which adds that although one injection is enough to produce a good level of immunity, a second one is still recommended to increase the immune response.
