Brussels, 04/12/2009 (Agence Europe) - At its annual general meeting on 24 November, the European Biodiesel Bureau (EBB), which defends the interests of European biodiesel producers, decided to bring a further complaint to the European Commission against the bypassing of protection measures (anti-dumping and compensatory duty) on the borders of the EU targeting imports of American biodiesel B99, which were brought in in March of this year. The EBB is accusing the "subsidised" American biodiesel of circumnavigating these anti-dumping and compensatory measures when it enters the Community market, either by means of triangular trade with third countries on the basis of fraudulent declarations of origin (EUROPE 9953), or in the form of mixes (B19 or less) with the specific aim of avoiding the duty.
