Parliament urges EU to keep maximum level of ambition in Copenhagen for binding global agreement

Brussels, 25/11/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has formally asked the EU to stand together in Copenhagen, to hang on to its leading role in international climate negotiations and work ceaselessly for an ambitious and legally binding international agreement in December, which will make it possible to observe the objective of a maximum of 2°C for the average increase in temperatures on the surface of the planet.
