28/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - Contained within the comments on the national social inclusion plans of the 15 Member States of the Europe Union, the International Movement ATD Fourth World calls for the vigilant monitoring of the implementation of these action plans. Certain questions are also raised on some of the problem areas in the national action plans, due to be further developed in summer 2003. Will these plans be elaborated with the participation of those who are experiencing serious poverty? None of the plans mention the vulnerable, the illiterate, the long-term unemployed or the parents of children who have been placed in institutions or foster families. The plans ought to put greater emphasis on the education and health of the most vulnerable members of society.
