- Norway: the Norwegian Government has announced that on 18 June it is to float between 15% and 25% of the State-owned oil group STATOIL on the stock exchange. The company, valued at around 18.75 bn euro, will be quoted on the Oslo and New York Stock exchanges. Once on the stock exchange, STATOIL could sell additional shares in its capital in the framework of a cross shareholding with a strategic partner. In the long-term, the Norwegian State will nevertheless retain two-thirds of the capital. - Greece: the consortium CYPRUS AIRWAYS, the group RESTIS and the private Greek shipbuilding and airline company AXON AIRLINES have been selected by CSFB - CREDIT SUISSE FIRST BOSTON to take a stake in OA - OLYMPIC AIRWAYS, the Greek Transport Minister Christos Verelis announced. CSFB will study the three bids before deciding between seven and nine days which candidates will finally be chosen. See 3 February.
