Brussels, 15/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - The donors' conference for Yugoslavia will be held in Brussels, on 29 June, to receive grants and loans for short and long term projects in Serbia and Montenegro, running for four years. The conference will not concern Kosovo, which received donations during the pledging conferences specifically devoted to that country the Commission and the World Bank should, very soon, publish a report on Yugoslavia, which should specify this country's needs and the amount of pledges expected for the conference. From diplomatic sources, they talk of a total of around EUR 1 billion only for the first year. On the European Commission side, they underline that the pledges, which will be made during the conference will not cover the funds already included in this year's Community budget (of which EUR 240 million for Serbia), but from the following years.
