10/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - The sessions of the EU/Georgia, EU/Azerbaijan, EU/Armenia partnership and cooperation Councils, of this Tuesday in Luxembourg enabled the EU delegation to: a)confirm its desire to co-operate with the Caucuses region through the Tacis, Inogate and Traceca programme; b) invite the countries of the area to reinforce and intensify their regional cooperation. The delegations from the three countries said they where favourable towards increased energy cooperation between the EU and Russia on condition that they take into account their interests as oil and gas producing countries.
