27/06/2016 (Agence Europe) - EU condemns new terrorist attack by al-Shebaab. On 26 June, the European Union condemned another deadly attack committed by al-Shabaab against the Naasa Hablood Hotel in Mogadishu on Saturday 25 June and offered its condolences to the families of the victims and its solidarity with the country in fighting terrorism together. In a press release, the Spokesperson For the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, stated "These attacks are an attempt to disrupt the ongoing state and peace building processes aimed at supporting a democratic Somalia". The EU affirmed that it "will continue to support the building of legitimate institutions in Somalia and to stand by Somalia in our common fight against terrorism". (AN)
